Victoria's Latino economic/financial communications experience spans more than 20 years including the development of the first Hispanic financial profile for Capital One, the launch of Pueblo Financial Corp., strategic planning for MBNA, Western Union. Victoria also led the award winning teams for Banco del Atlantico and Banca Serfin.
Victoria has received a number of prestigious awards and has been featured in national magazines including Advertising Age, AdWeek, Latina, and Hispanic magazine. In 2005, she was the recipient of the Hispanic Entrepreneur Award presented by Hispanic Business Magazine. Sandra Gómez Mendoza,Vice President/Leader of the Underground
Born in San Antonio, TX but raised in Mexico, Sandra is a true example of US Hispanic immigrant success. Ever since 1984 when she and her family settled permanently in the U.S., she has consistently developed into one of the most respected bilingual/bicultural marketing communications professionals with strong U.S. and Latin American advertising, promotions, event and grassroots marketing expertise.
Her career is comprised of a combination of agency and client experience in automotive, beverage, telecommunications, packaged goods, QSR, financial services, among other industries.
Sandra’s excellent interpersonal, communication, multi-project and team-management skills have given her the tools to lead many successful trade and brand programs for Top 500 companies such as Procter & Gamble, Western Union and Nestlé.
Some accomplishments include:
•Management and execution of over 1,000 grassroot and public relations events.
• Management and execution of the most successful Procter & Gamble promotion in 2002 and 2007; Pampers “Te Pone a Prueba” and “El Hogar de Dura” Bounty respectively. Both programs won “Best Business Building Initiative” awards within P&G setting the benchmark for integration and execution of future non-traditional programs.
• Managing of the team responsible for the creation and launch of one of the most successful trade programs within P&G – “Smile”. The program is now executed in hundreds of retail locations, involving many brands within the United States.
• Management and execution of one of the most successful Wonka (Nestle confections) between programs in 2007 winning various PR Week regional and national awards.
